We are based in the beautiful city of Barrie, Ontario, on the shores of Kempenfelt Bay, on Lake Simcoe - about 1 hour north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Under the former Barrie Pipes and Drums and later under Kempenfelt Pipes and Drums, the core of the band has been playing together as a group for over 20 years. Students are instructed in the basic finger work and music theory on the practice chanter, and the rudimental basics for the drums. Once accomplished, they graduate to intermediate classes. These classes are designed to further the development of skills and technique, and the first introduction to the Bagpipe and/or Drum. |
